A small, slow growing, evergreen conifer. Unusually the cones appear on young trees, usually from the time that the plant is 5-6 years old. Ht 10m abies koreana Korean Fir - A large, vigorous, evergreen conifer which makes a good, tall windbreak tree. Can be used as a Christmas tree. Ht 30m + Abies nordmanniana Nordmann fir - an evergreen mid-sized, slow-growing coniferous tree with blunt grey-green needles. Prefers some shade and moisture-retentive soil.
