Traditional Christmas tree. Fast growing evergreen conifer with shining dark green needles. Thrives on many types of soils. Is particularly happy in soils with a moderate or high acid content. This species produces 2 sheath needles which are about 3-6 inches long and dark green. The cones are about 3 inches long. They are very hardy and will adaptable to soil, cold and wind. Pinus pinea Corsican Pine - Ht. up to 35m. Very hardy. They may turn red-brown in a cold winter, but will usually recover. Pinus sylvestris Scots pine Out of stock Conical conifer with long, drooping, blue- green leaves. Has smooth bark, grey- green on young trees, later fissured and dark with cylindrical cones.
